January 19th. Our meeting at Tyrrells Wood was well attanded and an enthusiastic audience listen to Mick O'Farrell tell his tales of fishing. He concentrated on trout but salmon also got a mention with some tales of monster fish in Irish rivers. He had pictures of some intereting and very effective flies that he had invented and illustrated his talk with many pictures from his book "A Passion for Trout".

A measure of the success of his talk was the number of copies of his book that were sold at the end of a most interesting reading.
